Elena Maidoni creates vibrant artworks aspiring to celebrate beauty, evoke optimism and embrace the very essence of life. Her avant-garde paintings are exhibited in Art Galleries and her works are also available in her own E-Gallery.

Painting has always been part of her life, starting from her early age, being followed by several art classes, History of Art, studies in Fine Arts School, a scholarship in painting and spending lots of time and energy into experimenting and creating art. And whilst having worked for years within the business world and in the marketing of international brands, she always pursued her creative side where true passion lies.

She grew up in Athens (Greece), which has greatly contributed into shaping her aesthetics; the sea and the light in Greece have worked as a catalyst in the artistic look and contributed to developing a deep respect for nature, to appreciating and celebrating the surrounding beauty. It is so revealing how the final work embodies experiences, influences, aesthetics and a part of the artist’s soul.

My love for art, enhanced by the experience within business environment, gave rise to the generation of this conception and the foundation of my E-Gallery.

The special moment that you are able to do one of the things that you love, to follow and freely express your inner impulse, is really unique.

In my view, there is a higher purpose in everything; to advance a greater cause or make a positive impact on people’s mindset, feelings or lives. In this context, doing things with an inherent meaning and a sense of purpose, is a deeper intent, an inner need and lies in the heart of my works.

The motive for creation is love and passion for what I do. It is the constant need to express inspiration drawn by life, beauty, dreams and emotions which elicits the conceptualization of new ideas. Far more than a personal aesthetic approach and a visual story telling, the aspiration is to embrace inherent beauty, to awaken imagination, to share uplifting emotions and feelings experienced when creating a painting. To motivate the viewer to focus on the big picture and to see things in a bigger, broader perspective.

Each of the paintings I create is original, unique and does not come in copies or limited editions. Its creation epitomizes the special moment when it was conceived, the inspiration and emotions of that special moment, a set of conditions which cannot be replicated; it is utterly unique in time, thus no other piece will be the same. This is not solely due to a very own and intrinsic creative process I follow but mainly because originality is not something that can be replicated; this makes each artwork more special and exclusive.
